Email routing configuration is essential to determine whether your messages are processed locally by our server or directed to an external service provider (such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365). To adjust these settings, please follow these steps:
1. Log in to your cPanel account and locate the Email section.

2. Select the Email Routing tool.

3. Choose the specific domain you wish to configure from the dropdown menu.
4. Select the routing option that aligns with your infrastructure:
4.1. Local Mail Exchanger: Recommended if you manage your email accounts directly on our servers.
4.2. Remote Mail Exchanger: Select this option if you utilize an external email provider. This instructs our server to bypass local delivery attempts.
4.3. Backup Mail Exchanger: Configures our server as a secondary node to receive messages in the event your primary mail server is unavailable.

5. Click the Change button to apply your new settings.
Technical Notes:
• MX Records: If you have selected a Remote Mail Exchanger, it is mandatory to update your MX (Mail Exchanger) records within the cPanel Zone Editor to align them with the specifications provided by your external email host.
• Synchronization: Incorrect routing settings may interrupt incoming mail flow. Please ensure your selected configuration is consistent with your DNS record resolutions.
